Ability to interrupt and change parameters during execution

CAEFEM v8.0 allows the user to interrupt and change parameters during execution. CAEFEM also allows the user to reset the convergence tolerances in case of convergence failure.

Interface to Lanczos solver from CA&SI.

CAEFEM now handles eigen value analyses of huge problems. CAEFEM now supports PCGLSS (iterative solver) for all analyses types.

Huge databases using 64 bit file addressing

CAEFEM, using 64 bit file addressing, can now handle huge database file sizes which exceeds 2GB limit. This feature will be available in the up coming release.

Large database file sizes are essential to perform multi time step analyses like nonlinear and time transient analyses. Even with a number of options in CAEFEM to limit the database file sizes, the database file sizes can easily exceed 2 GB limit during multi step analyses of huge problems. Please see an example on wave propagation in water. This example consists of 110,000 nodes and 250 steps. This example creates a database file size of 14GB.
