CAEFEM was used to perform strength and stress tests on the 90,000 lb bronze lion for the entrance to the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.

MGM Lion Statue was cast in 1,600 individual half inch thick plates.
The total height of the statue = 70 feet (including 25 feet pedestal)
Weight of the statue = 90,000 lb

Analysis was performed using wind, gravity, thermal and seismic acceleration loads.
